About Lisa

Growing up in rural Illinois, Lisa spent lots of time developing her art skills as a child. If there was one thing you could guarantee she’d be doing, it was something artistic. It started with miniature dioramas around the age of five- when she would save prizes from gumball machines and create fantastical worlds with them.

She followed this curiosity and eagerness to Illinois State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Art. Along with taking her own continuing education classes, she began teaching art to hundreds of students at Round Rock High School over 12 consistent years and was head of the Art Department. After this fruitful experience, she turned her focus to private classes and workshops with seniors aged 55 and up. She now favors acrylic paint and watercolor, but does not limit herself to one medium. Through teaching, Lisa finds endless possibilities to create and collaborate which serve as her inspiration.

Her art has been featured in the Round Rock Art Gallery, Round Rock Library, Georgetown Art Center, and can be purchased at pop up events, markets, and here on this website.
